Ivy Studios
A concept design for a recording studio in OKC. One full screen hero, moody studio photography, white italic serif, and gold details that let the space speak for itself.
Recording studios either oversell themselves with flashy websites or undersell themselves with a WordPress theme from 2015. Patrick wanted something that felt like walking into the studio itself. Dim lights, warm tones, and just enough information to make you want to book a session.
We stripped everything back to one screen. A full viewport photograph of the actual studio does all the talking. The headline "connect & create" sits in white italic serif with a gold ampersand that ties into the Ivy monogram logo. Three nav links, a city badge, and a copyright line. Nothing else. The restraint is the design. When the space looks this good, the best thing a website can do is get out of the way.
One screen. Nothing wasted.
No scroll. No features grid. No testimonials carousel. Just a photograph of the room where music gets made, a two word promise, and a way to get in touch. The gold ampersand and monogram are the only color on the page and they earn their presence by being the only things that are not black or white. The OKC badge in the bottom left grounds it in a real place without needing an address block.
